Happy 2013 and Goal Making

Happy New Year!! We all survived 2012!! I don’t know about you guys but I am ready to make 2013 MY year. Last year was an ok year but nothing great. I have this awesome feeling about 2013 though. Maybe it’s the fact that my husband and I get the green light in April to start looking for our first house (we will be getting property so our horses are with us! yay!!) or the fact that my personal training is totally taking off. Either way 2013 is going to be a year of happiness, helping others achieve their goals and achieving my own goals.

In 2010 I started making a “goal poster”. I would head over to Staples or Office Depot and get some white poster paper and a set of Crayola markers….yes I was channeling my inner child :) I would then list all my goals for the year and place check boxes next to each one. This would be tapped to the outside of my closet door. Every night before bed I would see it and in the morning when I woke up. It helped to really keep¬† me accountable and remember why I get up at 5am to workout or why eating that extra piece of chocolate really isn’t worth it. Here is a pic of my goal poster this year!

2013 Goals

Have you ever made a “Goal Poster”? If not are you going to make one this year? I would love to see a photo of your poster!! Here is to a great 2013!!

  1. I love your goal poster AND that you post it where you can see it every day. What a great way to stay focused on what matters to you!

  2. Love your goal poster! I write my goals and have created a vision board, but no goal poster! I think it’s time I got myself some poster board and went to town!

Thanks Rachel! You total should!! It is a total blast and makes goal setting so much fun. I want to do a vision board also. Need to get on that :)

  3. Nice goal poster! And Happy 2013! I personally made an achievement board where I color in the goals once they are completed!
